That is why a stud finder is important and you need to bring it home to help you!
If you are a DIY home projector or professional contractor, VIVREAL stud finder is what you are looking for. VIVREAL stud sensor wall scanner instantly gives you a sense of confidence for those home projects that requires hammering or drilling into your walls. The stud finder provides four scanning modes in total for detection. Depending on the tasks you have, you can switch to the desired mode.
For transportation safety reasons, the stud finder does not contain the battery.
Electronic Wall Scanner has 4 modes to choose
• Stud scan: Locates the center and edges of wood and metal studs up to 3⁄4 in. (19 mm) deep.
• Deep mode: Locates the center and edges of wood and metal studs up to 11⁄2 in. (38 mm) deep.
• Metal scan: Detects metal (such as 1⁄2 inch rebar) up to 2.36 in. (60 mm) deep.
• AC scan: Detects live unshielded AC wires up to 2 in. (51 mm) deep.
Step 1: Calibrate before every scan
Selecting the mode, press and hold the scan button (on the side of the tool) to calibrate the tool. Wait for the deceleration lever to disappear and beep to confirm that the calibration is complete. In stud/depth mode, place the digital stud finder on the wall to be tested for calibration; In AC/Metal mode, it can be calibrated against the wall or in the air. The sensitivity is the strongest when it calibrates in the air. If you can't detect anything after calibration, or if the product does not respond, change the area horizontally or vertically to calibrate and then measure again.
Step 2: Scan the wall
Press the button and slowly move the digital wall scanner along the wall. If you shake or accidentally lift the scanner, you will need to recalibrate the device The “Progress Bar” section on the screen changes as the beep signal guides you to the location of the stud. Step 3: Find the location of the stud When the signal bar is full and the beep is loud, it means that you have found the center of the object. The louder, the closer. Mark it! You can choose the metal mode to check whether it is metal. If not, it means it was the center of the stud.
VIVREAL Stud Finder takes all your needs!
AC WIRE WARNING
AC WIRE detection works continuously in the Stud Scan, Deep Scan, and Metal Scan modes. When the live AC voltage is detected, the AC detection warning indicator icon will appear in the display. Please Use extreme caution under these circumstances or whenever live AC wiring is present.
Electrical field locators may not detect the live AC wires if the wires are more than 2 in. (51 mm) from the scanned surface, in concrete, encased in conduit, present behind a plywood shear wall or metallic wall covering, or if moisture is present in the environment or scanned surfaces. Do not assume that there are no live electrical wires in the wall.
Do not take actions that could be dangerous if the wall contains a live electrical wire. Always cut off the electric power, gas, and water supplies before penetrating the surface. Failure to follow these instructions may result in an electric shock, fire, serious injury and property damage.
Always turn off power supply when working near electrical wires.
